“In the world” and “in ME”
In this world are tribulations and hate
From Adam’s garden out through the gate.
With both feet in it, tossed about,
Our state is weak without a doubt.
But we are not of it;
Our Head arose above it!
In the darkest sin-laid hour
HE paid penalty and broke the power.
Although we’re not “of” this wicked mess,
We are found “in” midst of all of this.
But we have sweet rest of holiness,
Because IN HIM is where we rest.
